Each classroom has one or two volunteer Room Parents. Room Parents are central to building the Honey Creek community. Some of the things that Room Parents do to help support our classrooms include:
Communicate with the Teacher.
Coordinate and set up Sign-ups for classroom supplies, snack donations, and fruit/veggie bowl.
Plan the grade level social opportunities.
Coordinate classroom volunteers.
Encourage event volunteers.
Lead money collections for holiday and end of year teacher gifts (RP coordinator organizes).
Assist with field trip planning.
Schedule holiday pet care.
Coordinate Teacher Appreciation activities or gifts.
Support classroom families (e.g. set up meal sign-ups during life transitions).
Support Academic Service-Learning.
