Mission:
The Honey Creek PTO Wellness Committee strives through collaboration with the community to promote lifelong, healthy behaviors and lifestyle choices through education, mental wellness initiatives, physical activity, and improving access to healthy food.
Programs:
Several times during the year, we host mental health activities such as guest lectures and relevant film screenings. We also provide a Farm-to-School program that brings local farmers and food samples into the school and a thriving Edible Schoolyard Garden. We also host an annual Fall Harvest Dinner prepared by a local chef and with locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients,, recruit lunch line helpers at the beginning of the school year, assist with P. E. Play Day, distribute bags of maturation supplies to 4th and 5th grade students and support the school‘s annual Earth Day celebration.
How to Help:
We invite all members of our community to participate in this committee. We welcome all interested people – no particular expertise is needed.

The mission of the STEAM Committee is to promote an interest in science, technology, engineering, arts and math for all students at Honey Creek. We support students by encouraging hands-on activities both in and out of the classroom. Resources for teachers are sought to supplement lesson plans and promote continuing STEAM education.
Programs:
Annual events are organized including: Fall STEAM Fest, STEAM Fair, Talent Night and the Washtenaw Elementary Science Olympiad (WESO). Additional STEAM events throughout the community are also shared to promote involvement by Honey Creek families.
